Day 1
Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kellat-M’Gouna – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges – Boulmane – Todra Gorges
Leaving Ouarzazate around 7:30a.m. towards Skoura where we will have a quick 20 minute visit of the Amredhyle Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern “Route of the Thousand Kasbahs.” Continuing our journey through the Valley of the Roses. We visit Ait Youl Kasbah. Before heading toward Boulmane, we lunch on top of Dades Gorges. Reaching Tinghir, then the fabulous views of the Gorges du Todra Canyons.
Day 2
Gorges du Todra – Tinjdad – Touroug – Erfoud – Merzouga
We will take a morning walk around the Tineghir Palm Plantations then drive to Tinjedad to have lunch and visit Touroug Palm Plantations. Then it’s to Erfoud for a visit of a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing on we arrive at the fascinating and breathtaking dunes of Erg Chebbi, The Dunes of Merzouga. We now switch from our 4×4 to camels where you will be takin on a camel ride on the dunes of the Sahara to enjoy the sunset on the dunes. You will also overnight in a true nomad bivouac. You will sleep in Berber tents in the middle of the dunes of the Sahara Desert.
Day 3
Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Draa Valley – Agdz – Ourazazate
We will depart early from our respite in the desert in order to enjoy sunrise in Sahara Desert. Our camels will take us back to the hotel where the 4×4 awaits. Breakfast served. We depart towards the Palm Plantation of Tafilalet passing Rissani, the old Alaouite Sahara capital by the ancient Alaouite Sultans. We will take the road to Alnif where lunch is waiting. After that, a visit to Tazzarine, Tansihkt and N’kob Oasis is in order. We will take the road to Ouarzazate via the Draa Valley and the Berber village of Agdz in the Ait Saoun Pass (1660m altitude). Arrival in Ouarzazate will be around 6p.m.
